Life at Gamma Upsilon
A well-rounded brotherhood — in service, in leadership, and on campus.
Our Mission
To develop well-rounded, honorable leaders who command respect by redefining the standard of excellence — scholastically, socially, philanthropically, and athletically.
Where Brothers Get Involved
Service has been part of Gamma Upsilon for generations — from campus charity events to hands-on work in the Fayetteville community. Brothers raise funds and give their time in support of local causes and Sigma Nu's national philanthropic efforts, carrying the fraternity's commitment to Honor beyond the walls of the house.
Our traditions run deep: the White Rose Formal, Christmas Formal, Sadie Hawkins, and function nights with chapters across campus, all anchored by Homecoming each fall when alumni return to Fayetteville. From big events to everyday life in the house, these are the moments that turn a pledge class into lifelong friends.
Sigma Nu develops leaders through its national LEAD program, and Gamma Upsilon brothers put it to work — holding roles in student government, campus organizations, and the Fraternity's own chapter offices. Academics come first, and brothers hold one another accountable to a standard of scholarship worthy of the badge.
Gamma Upsilon competes year-round in University of Arkansas intramurals — flag football, the Relays, and more. Whether chasing a championship or just fielding a team on a weeknight, brothers bring the same competitive edge and camaraderie to the field that defines life in the chapter.
